Cranial Sacral Therapy

Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle hands on approach to evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the cranial sacral system.  The cranial sacral system is comprised of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and the spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no more than 5 grams or about the weight of a nickel, the practitioner releases restrictions in the cranial sacral system to improve the functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system.   CST complements the body’s natural healing processes and is increasingly used as a preventative health measure to bolster resistance to disease.  It is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.  CST is appropriate for all ages and can be done clothed.
